PLAINVILLE, CT — GE Consumer & Industrial's Electrical Distribution business introduces new NEMA 3R Double-Throw Safety Switches that feature a heavy-duty, trouble-free design and the industry's only 10-year, leak-proof limited warranty. The switches deliver long-term reliability for electrical contractors and end-users in such settings as healthcare, wastewater generators, cell phone towers, oil platforms and rigs, retail and general farming.

Ideal for manually transferring between utility power and a stand-by generator in power emergencies, NEMA 3R Double-Throw Safety Switches are non-fused and available at 30A-400A, 240V and 600V. Utilizing interlock defeat, NEMA 3R Double-Throw Safety Switches save time and money by allowing inspections without disrupting building power.

NEMA 3R Double-Throw Safety Switches, UL and cUL certified, meet ANSI/NFPA 70, Article 702 standards, and are suitable for use as Service Entrance equipment when installed in accordance with the National Electrical Code.
