GE Expands LP Series UPS to 120 kVA

Full range of high performance & cost effective UPS systems

December 8, 2004 — Riazzino, Switzerland — GE Digital Energy™ has expanded the LP Series UPS product range to 120kVA. All new 3-phase LP Series UPS products are fully compliant with the highest performance requirements following the IEC-standard 62040-3, VFI SS 111. The quality of the output voltage is even exceeding this standard considerably.

As performance requirements are increasing UPS systems are requested to not only provide the critical applications with clean and reliable power but also to have an optimal energy consumption profile towards the utility. GE's unique booster technology improves the energy consumption profile dramatically compared to other systems. This makes the LP Series highly compatible with any utility and prevents users from getting charged for reactive energy. With GE's new LP Series over sizing of generator sets belongs to the past.

As buildings get packed with electronic equipment nowadays, floor space needs to be used as effectively as possible. The new LP Series has the smallest footprint available in the market. Furthermore all serviceable parts can be accessed from the front – making the operational footprint up to 65% smaller.

New technologies of GE's new LP Series enable higher efficiency and lower heat losses – thus reducing operational costs for the user. The ECO mode (available on all models) increases these savings further.

GE's new LP Series complies with IEC 62040-2 Class A standard. This EMC standard (electro magnetic compatibility) ensures proper functionality of electronic equipment and UPS systems being placed close to each other: the LP Series does not disturb and is not disturbed by any other electronic equipment.

Developed and manufactured in Switzerland according to strict Six Sigma Methodology and ISO-9001: 2000 Quality System, GE Digital Energy LP Series UPS is available with a complete range of options and is supported by a worldwide service organization.

With its global headquarters in Riazzino/Locarno, Switzerland, GE Digital Energy has over 30 years of experience in the design, manufacture and application of advanced UPS solutions for safe and managed power.
