Protect Plasticware with GE Profile Fully Integrated Dishwasher
LOUISVILLE, KY- Love leftovers but hate hand washing the plastic containers that hold them? Now consumers can wash and dry plastic cookware in the top and bottom rack of the dishwasher without worrying they'll melt or warp.
A new Plastics Cycle selection on the GE Profile fully integrated dishwasher helps protect plastic cookware and dishware during the wash cycle while ensuring optimum drying.
"The addition of the Plastics Cycle is a major milestone for the dishwasher - it's the most innovative cycle we've added since GE launched Potscrubber in 1974," stated Jennifer Mintman, GM - Dishwashers, GE Consumer & Industrial. "Just as GE was proud to be the innovator of the Potscrubber cycle, we are pleased to once again answer consumers' call with the Plastics cycle."
The Plastics Cycle is designed to not only wash plastic items in the appropriate wash temperature, but also dry them effectively in either the top or bottom rack of the dishwasher. Plastic items do not hold heat like glassware or dinnerware, therefore, they remain wet even after selecting the heated dry option in a traditional dishwasher. The fan-assist dry on the GE Profile fully integrated dishwasher draws moist air out of the dishwasher tub and off of items being washed - including plastic items. Also, the drying temperature reached during the plastic cycle assures that plastic items won't melt or warp.
Other innovative technology and features designed to make life a little easier include the ExtraClean wash system, which has three direct-feed wash arms to spotlessly clean every dish. Also, a giant tub with maximum capacity nylon racking and four-position removable/adjustable upper rack allows maximum use of space. Combine this with 100% fold down tines and adaptable bowl tines to get tremendous loading flexibility and capacity. No dishwasher holds more.*
A vision to behold, the new GE Profile fully integrated dishwasher with stainless interior offers two gorgeous styles, each with eye-appealing possibilities. Whether you wish to display or disguise the dishwasher, complement or contrast cabinetry, you'll find a model that beautifully suits your needs. Both styles feature hidden integrated controls, which hide the control panel from view, and these contour door dishwashers are the first with integrated controls.
But, beauty is more than skin deep. The new GE Profile dishwashers offer many attractive options including the stainless steel interior with a mirror-like appearance. Made of bright annealed stainless steel, it resists rust, corrosion and staining. Color-matched Pearlescent racks offer added luster and durability.
GE Profile and Triton® XL dishwashers are engineered for quiet, efficient operation. Reduce the sound of washing dishes with the new QuietPower VI sound package with extra-thick insulation, a quiet-design tub, a fan-assist dry system and Profile's concealed ActiveVent. Energy-efficient operation is assured through the ExtraClean sensor.
GE Profile fully integrated dishwashers are now available. The contour door dishwashers are offered in stainless steel exterior on models PDW9880JSS and PDW9280JSS and in white, bisque and black on models PDW9800J and PDW9200J. The GE Profile fully integrated dishwasher model PDW9700JII, requires a custom panel and custom handle. Depending on configuration and finish, the estimated retail price will range from $799 to $1249.
